The mystery part of this novel was pretty good and the identity of the killer wasn't revealed (or obvious) too early. But some of the decisions made by the main character were so stupid that I found it difficult to believe she was a former FBI special agent.

#62 let‘s keep the morbid dice rolling lol let‘s see if this one is a better read than that last one.

Caffeinated_Reader Well that was a pretty awesome story. Brigid is a freaking savage. I‘d like to read more about her. That other cop, “snow” huge set of balls too that one. Over all I enjoyed this investigation into finding the serial killers. I‘d definitely read more from this new to me author! 5y

I thought that this book would build on how the main character has to assert herself for example against sexism or ageism in a male dominated environment or at least a more complex main character but that was not the case. It works ok as a thriller but is not what I expected and I feel like an opportunity was wasted...

For a year I gave retirement my best shot. I joined a book club, but the other women started ignoring me when they found out I never read the book.

Heard about this book on the radio! Love the idea that the 'detective' is a 60 year old retired FEMALE FBI agent! :)

Not as good as I was hoping it would be. Took a long while to get into it. Seemed to have a lot of running around and not really getting anywhere. I wasn't as invested in this read, and didn't really connect with the main character as much as I hoped I would. When the action kicked in, and the story started to move, then it got interesting, and I couldn't put it down.

Finished #24in48 last night with 17:35! Not too shabby for my first time out. It was so fun to devote big chunks of time to reading over two days. (Probably helped that the kiddo was building LEGOs all weekend! 😉)

Finished off by starting this thriller recommended by Nancy Pearl. So far, it's gruesomely terrific.
