Pickpick

Really enjoyed this book - Annie Jacobson really goes in depth with her research. Completely bananapants premise - who knew the American government was researching these kinds of things! Craziness...but my kind of craziness!

Geeklet Oohh. That sounds interesting. 6y
wtimblin @Geeklet it was. She has done a few other books about various government departments doing shady, sneaky stuff. I also recommend The Pentagon's Brain (history of DARPA). Not everyone's cup of tea, but I found it fascinating. 6y
Geeklet @wtimblin I‘ll have to check it out. I enjoy learning about the weird crap the government does. 6y

wtimblin @Geeklet Ha, me too. Happy hunting! 😁 6y
AlaMich We‘re all probably better off NOT knowing what all the US government is up to. And I say that as an American. 6y
wtimblin @AlaMich I shudder to think what we don't know, considering what we do! 6y
AlaMich @wtimblin I prefer to take the “stick my head in the sand and pretend it‘s all not happening” approach to living here at the moment. 😟 6y
wtimblin @AlaMich I feel for you. And it's a good approach, will help keep you sane! 6y
Mcoun Sounds like Fringe. 6y

I was a bit dubious about this one and then on the 1st page it describes in WWII the deputy fuhrer chose the date to fly to England based on astrology. He was arrested and this led Hitler to arrest astrologists and fortune tellers. Now I'm so on on this book! #readathon
