Another in the Railway Detective series and thankfully a really nice #Historicalfiction book that can be read at leisure. After a french man is stabbed and then thrown from a viaduct, Colbeck & Leeming's investigation takes them to France. Saboteurs, Irish rail workers and other characters all have their part to play in this interesting police procedural story that is set in 1852. I enjoyed it a lot.

Another entertaining story, this is the third in the series. Other than a couple of leaps that I found a little hard to understand the mystery was complex. Also interesting about how the laborers lived while building the railroad.

@Chellebearss

Chellebearss I like the idea of journaling book lists. I‘ve always done my lists online since I started tracking 😀 6y
RaimeyGallant She's your daughter? How awesome. :) 6y
DGRachel @RaimeyGallant The only problem is that I can‘t sneak buy books, because anything I post here, Mom sees. 🤣🤣😱😱 6y

DGRachel @dsfisher You know, if I hadn‘t been looking for your reaction, I wouldn‘t have seen the side eye because you didn‘t tag me!🤪 6y
dsfisher I know I forgot to tag you but then I figured no problem you would check! 😜 6y
DGRachel You didn‘t tag me on the other comment, either. You‘re lucky I‘ve got the curiosity of a cat. 😂😂 6y
dsfisher @DGRachel just in case you think I don‘t know how. And why do you think your dog loves you? Mmm could be a kitty, nice. 6y
