INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLERAn epidemic of allergies is spreading around the world. One billion people suffer from allergic diseases such as asthma, hay fever, eczema, and food allergies. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. In this groundbreaking book, award-winning doctor Leo Galland, M.D., reveals the shocking rise of hidden allergies that lead to weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, depression, joint pain, headaches, ADHD, digestive problems, and much more. Astonishing new research shows how each of these is linked to the immune imbalance that is at the root of allergy.A brilliant clinician, Dr. Galland has unlocked the power of this breakthrough science to help thousands of patients who have struggled with mysterious symptoms answer the question: Doctor, what s wrong with me? Here, he is joined by his son, Jonathan Galland, J.D., a passionate health writer and environmental advocate, in exposing the truth that just as the earth s environment is out of balance, our bodies are out of balance. Between this and the discussion of the impact of climate change on allergies, this book is more terrifying than all the horror books I've ever read. Combined.

StacksNShelves 😰😩 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I read this one last year. I think there were some interesting solutions in it also. 7y
MMenefee @BarbaraTheBibliophage I am learning a lot about the "why" (allergies are on the rise, happen to certain folk, etc.) right now, and looking forward to reading about the solutions. 7y

Great information in this book! My allergies are better with the supplements he recommended. Can't wait to try the power flush and make the soup to see if that helps my allergies even more!

I've heard Dr. Galland speak in several online summits, so I was excited to read this book. It didn't disappoint! I've read many books on similar topics—how to solve the mystery of why people get sick and struggle to get well. Yet, I learned many new things from this book. I like the focus on changing toxic habits for our own health and for the health of the planet. I also appreciated the specific protocol of the diet-related recommendations.

Just reached my #24in48 #readathon halfway point. I can't power through one book at a time (maybe ADHD?). So I'm about 60% through three books. Enjoying all of them! @24in48

ErinC I'm doing the same thing - switching back and forth between books. But I forgot to use a timer so I'm just guesstimating this time around. Now I know for next time! 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ErinC I thought I could keep track in my head and on paper but it was too hard. Switched to a timer at about seven hours! 8y
