The Never Tilting World
The Never Tilting World | Rin Chupeco
A world split between day and night. Two sisters who must unite it. The author of The Bone Witch kicks off an epic YA fantasy duology perfect for fans of Furyborn. Generations of twin goddesses have long ruled Aeonuntil one sisters betrayal split their world in two. A Great Abyss now divides two realms: one cloaked in eternal night, the other scorched beneath an ever-burning sun. While one sister rules the frozen fortress of Aranth, her twin rules the sand-locked Golden Cityeach with a daughter by their side. Now those young goddesses must set out on separate, equally dangerous journeys in hopes of healing their broken world. No matter the sacrifice it demands. Told from four interweaving perspectives, this sweeping duology packs elemental magic, star-crossed romance, and incredible landscapes into a spectacular fantasy adventure thats equal parts Frozen and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Fuck me I loved this. You somehow convinced me to like both couples!...I'm that annoying reviewer telling people to stop putting romances in. BUT DAMNNNNNN I LOVE THESE COUPLES!

I just sort of realized that we got to the end of the book and most of the world still doesn't have any explanation lol so I definitely need to read the sequel!

Rep: f/f romance

This book was a struggle for me. It seemed like a fun fantasy - gods and a world stuck and some epic quests. It it just didn‘t work for me.

And just for fun, here's my side of the bed. Picking out what to put on this bookcase was like trying to decide which cat I love most.

Tagged book is what I'm currently listening to while working and I'm LOVING it!

When my husband and I bought our house 4.5 years ago we painted and decorated all the public rooms and left our bedroom till last. Today Pippin and I are painting while the husband assembles new furniture!

And, of course, I have to start a new audio book while I work. After 'Bone Witch' I'll give anything Rin Chupeco writes a try!

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I‘m hanging out for the next (last?) Bone Witch book 📚 4y
rachelsbrittain I adored The Never Tilting World! I'm hoping to read Bone Witch soon 4y
DGRachel I‘m repainting my master bedroom today, too! 😆 4y

GondorGirl @thegirlwiththelibrarybag That series is one of my favorites! The third book killed me! 🧡💔 4y
GondorGirl @rachelsbrittain I'm almost half way in and I'm living it! I'm going to be so sad having to wait until the sequel comes out! 😭 4y
GondorGirl @DGRachel What color are you painting your room? I'm doing a really deep, warm purple. 4y
DGRachel I repainted the three dark gray walls a color called Silent White. It‘s got a subtle gray tint to it, but is otherwise nice and bright. It looks good with my dark navy focal wall. 😊 4y

⭐⭐⭐

Let me just say that I am absolutely in LOVE with the cover and the premise of the story.
I was sorely disappointed in the turn out of the book.
It started right out the gate throwing all of these different aspects at you, leaving you scratching your head.
Also, I usually love alternating POVs...however this took it too far. It got confusing and everything started to blend together.
I am honestly upset with myself for not just DNFing this

You know when you read a book, and you're so captured you can barely put it down? This was one of those for me. On a tidally locked world devastated by the "Breaking" which stopped the planet's orbit, leaving half the world in burning light & the other in night, twin sisters separated at birth--unaware of the others existence--travel to the Abyss at the center of the world to try to restore harmony & peace to the tortured land.

4.5 stars / ⭐⭐⭐⭐
