Ahhhh the soap opera that is SVH. While entertaining, there has definitely been a need to suspend reality in the last half dozen books in the series, and this one fits that bill too. Jessica seems to be a much more serious version of herself and Elizabeth much more judgmental. You could argue that there is good reason for that to support the story, but it‘s off-putting.

I found this super entertaining for some reason. In the last book, Jess crashed Jeremy & Sue‘s wedding by announcing her undying love for Jeremy. Her parents threaten her with boarding school, but she doesn‘t care. Jeremy then proposes to Jess but tells her to keep it secret. He “goes to Costa Rica” but something is fishy. Turns out Sue‘s mom left her a ton of money but with conditions. So what exactly is going on here? Can‘t wait to find out!
