Somehow it just felt right to start reading this tonight. The week has been weird with a school stabbing here in Finland and the deaths of several policemen in Paris. Sometimes real life is so much creepier, but I prefer to dig deep into fiction right now!

I understand why some people say this one is different from the other 3 books. But I couldn‘t put it down.
Weird that all the questions arising to me in the beginning of the story were put aside by the book – just to be digged up for the denouement.
Fun fact: Sophie was unsympathetic to me from about p. 150 onwards, so how it ends for her is okay with me. 😂
Is it weird, that someone like me who usually doesn‘t like to read hardcover books much because they are so heavy, very much appreciates if the typesetting is nicely made. Like it is in this case, with the blank backside at the beginning of each new chapter.
One could bring forward the argument that this is waste of paper, yes, but at the moment I tend to only think that it‘s nice.
Litsy was down for me most part of the afternoon and so was my online library. 😢
Have any of you had similar difficulties❓ The app opened and crashed down almost immediately.
So I chose to catch up with Dr Hunter. This is his fourth case.
I already read 100 pages and, yes, I get hooked.
so-soI like this book about David Hunter. But this one is a little bit diffrent. It's more personal. No new job for Hunter. Old storys has to resolve.
Ich mochte das Buch, aber es ist anders, als die Vorgänger. Es ist persönlicher und Dr. Hunter hat einen alten Job zu bearbeiten. Es hat leider nur wenige Szenen an denen forensische Aufklärungstechniken von Wichtigkeit sind.

pickAgain, I managed to start a book without realizing that it belongs to a series 😂
The story itself starts off with a peek into the past before concentrating on later happenings when the accused murderer escapes from prison. It dragged a little towards the middle of the book, but the ending was really thrilling.
