Another good read in the Cal Donovan series by Glenn copper, although don‘t think it was quite so good as the others in the series. Some good characters, and an interesting plot. Love books that figure John Dee, such great mystery around him. An incident at the end of the book 😢😢😢

Fourth book finished for #20in4 Readathon. Took me to my final total of 25 hrs 29 mins.

Started reading the latest one in the Cal Donovan series. These are good religious thrillers.

Glenn Cooper's books are automatic reads for me. This latest instalment did not disappoint as the author masterfully weaves together the story of a mysterious obsidian stone, from 16th century England, to the ruins of Iraq in 1989 to the present day, when it is rediscovered by Cal Donovan, in his mother's possessions. While I have not warmed up to Cal Donovan's character, the story itself is engaging and entertaining.⭐️⭐️⭐️ #netgalley

Glenn Cooper mixes history with fiction filled with mysticism, angels and evil spirits. Info from 1095 and 1609 in regards to who owned stone in the past. The characters, good and evil, are very believable. The book ends on a cliffhanger making me look forward to the next book. I would highly recommend this series to those who like history and mystery with a bit of supernatural. Thanks to NetGalley & Severn House for ARC for an honest review.
