This book was a big miss for me. The writing was unrefined, there were points where it didn't flow well, and the plot was just too off the wall even for a fiction book. That being said, it certainly was full of suspense and even some romance albeit entirely unrealistic. But it's not a book I would personally recommend.

Book Wednesday! #recommendsday
I ripped through Deception Island by Brynn Kelly at breakneck speed which is a testimony to the pacing of this book. Smart characters, dangerous villains, and a fun, breathtaking plot. It's a definite win and I can't wait for her next book!

Super solid debut, the last quarter had me holding my breath the entire time! And Holly and Rafe were surprisingly cute, considering he kidnapped her. I can't wait for Brynn Kelly's next book, I'm hoping it's about Flynn ❤️

Continuing the island theme with my holiday reading...I've heard a lot of good things about this one! (granted, her editor sits behind me at work 😳)
