Dad's a Heinlein fan. Mom loves Stephen King.

1. Blue Bayou by Linda Ronstadt. My mom taught me how to use the record player when I was about 4 and I'd put on the LP and sing along. I still like singing along with the song, but now I have the CD (not hip enough for LPs).

2. Thankful that at least my passionfruit vine seems to like the heat wave.

Cosmos_Moon I love passion vines! Mine in south Louisiana are out of control, but have never produced fruit. Have you gotten fruit? 4y

ImperfectCJ @Cosmos_Moon Yes, we have lots of fruit. Only some of them are fruiting. You need the Passiflora edulis variety to get fruit. 4y

Cosmos_Moon I love the flowers! I know my red ones are definitely not the fruiting kind, but I‘m not sure about my blue and purples. I think those are supposed to? I‘ll have to check. 4y

ImperfectCJ @Cosmos_Moon I've seen some purples that are nob-fruiting. There are lots of photos online of the different types. If yours are fruiting varieties and aren't producing, your pollinators might not be doing their job. I give mine a boost with a small paintbrush. 4y

Cosmos_Moon Ooo! Thanks! We get lots of pollinators... my vines take up almost 100 foot stretch of my back yard‘s fence. I‘m going to distract myself from work by looking at these flowers. Autocorrect is so great sometimes, but makes me look ridiculous at least once a day 😂 4y

Cosmos_Moon Soooo, I believe my red is a hybrid... scarlet flame, blue is the P. caerulea, and purple may be P. edulis 😜 blue & purple edible if the ever produce! 4y

ImperfectCJ @Cosmos_Moon Excellent sleuthing! I saw an article that mentioned that sometimes soil quality keeps the vines from producing fruit. A friend from Australia plants a beef liver under her passionfruit vines. They produce very well, but I'm not brave enough to try it with mine. Just my luck it would attract coyotes or something. Or just stink up my tiny yard and annoy the neighbors. 4y
