Pickpick

One of the first comics the staff at Chicago Comics recommended I read was Swamp Thing. I wasn‘t too sure when I first picked it up but within a few pages I knew they were right. I‘ve been working my way through the series ever since & it continues to be a really well told story & a gorgeous old school comic. Love the smell of the paper (newspaper quality) it‘s printed on, love the saturated colors, & love the story. Definitely a good read.

Beautiful sunny morning for standing in line on Free Comic Book Day. As always, Chicago Comics had a great selection & I was able to get everything I wanted. This is the third year my family & I have participated. The first year, I was the only one who really wanted to go & knew exactly what I wanted. This year, everyone was excited & we all came home with something different. Can‘t wait until next year!

Alan Moore had a great run with Swamp Thing. But yes, this is a pretty perverse. Plus, I hate sweet potatoes.
