#WeirdWordsWednesday @CBee

I know this is a beautiful word, but I laughed when I saw it because when you learn Irish, one of the first things you learn is I am hungry, sad, tired etc Ta mé tuirseach. I just think it‘s funny that I was telling the world I had a soul deep fatigue at the age of five!! Maybe that‘s why the Irish are known for their melancholy. Lol

Chrissyreadit this is me!!!! 1mo
Cuilin @Chrissyreadit 💜 I love how this word sounds tear-sha 1mo
Chrissyreadit I love that also!!! I love Irish Gaelic- i bought some pimsleur classes to try and learn it but it‘s still on my back burner. Do you speak Irish? 1mo

lil1inblue Well, today's weird words all seem to sum me up perfectly. 😂 1mo
dabbe I feel this one in me bones. 🧡💜💛 1mo
Cuilin @Chrissyreadit Not as good anymore since I don‘t use it. I use some apps to keep it. I‘m helping beta test Sionnach. 1mo
CBee I love this! I‘m mostly English with some Scottish and Irish so, my whole family is a melancholy lot 😂 1mo
Cuilin @dabbe yep, daily! 1mo
Amiable This makes me think of the German word “weltschmertz” —literally, “world-pain" or "world-weariness.” It describes the existential sadness or melancholy you feel about the state of the world and its inability to meet your idealized expectations. I love that other languages can sum up such heavy emotions in a single word! 1mo
Cuilin @CBee 😢😆 1mo
Cuilin @Amiable Yes. A few letters for a lot of feelings. 1mo
