5✨ Sailor Moon has always been a favorite of mine since I first saw it in high school. This edition was too beautiful to pass up, and it brought a familiar nostalgia with some updated/corrected translations from what I remember. I‘m excited to get the others in this set because they are all beautiful! That rainbow shimmer is on the whole cover to make it shine even more! 🥰💛

#currentread It‘s my first Sailor Moon!! I have all 3 of the new special editions out from the library. I‘m halfway through volume one, this one. The covers are sooo pretty!! Btw it took me an hour to finish this post because I was watching the first episode of American Horror Story this season. It reminds me of all the silly slasher movies I used to watch with my uncle in the eighties. He used to laugh at them so I was never scared. Sailor Moon❤️

I can't say what the precise mixture of internalized misogyny, a desire to avoid liking anime (I didn't need something else to brand me a loser), and my contrary nature, but I didn't get into Sailor Moon as a kid. I am remedying that now, and you know what? It's charming as hell and this Eternal Edition is gorgeous. It's definitely going on my buy list!
