This was so good and full of ND rep. I think the thing that makes me the happiest about this one is that the masters of space travel are from a culture that accepts and nurtures the neuro diverse and mentally ill.

It is a lazy rainy day and BooklyApp estimates I can finish this in two and a half hours. Challenge accepted.

Our couch and loveseat face each other conversation style so what happens when I glance up from my book? Apparently I‘m good enough to stare at but not for reading snuggles. He‘s still staring as I post this lol #CatsOfLitsy

In a world where interstellar travel has come at the cost of significant mutations, humanity is divided between the Terrans on Earth, determined to keep the gene pool pristine, and the Variant cultures of the outworlds. Intricate world building, an interesting take on neurodivergence, and multiple plotlines made this an engrossing read. I already put the sequel on hold at the library. TW:self-harm.

Happy #BookSpin Day to all who celebrate!
I‘ve got ambitious plans for November including the tagged which is my BookSpin pick. Most of the stack is my DoubleSpin backlog although Steerswoman is for book club. I also have Alphabet of Thorn and Master of Djinn to read on Nook.

TheAromaofBooks Uhoh, looks like the BookSpin fates handed you another chunkster!!! 😂 2y
HeyT @TheAromaofBooks I know right! I was like last month was a fake out thinking the chonkybois were on hiatus. At least the double was tiny. 2y

I was excited to find these three today because they are all on the SFFBC shelf and my goal is to read three shelf books a month. I love a fortuitous #BookHaul

Friedman is a master at crafting a compelling narrative. Although this book was written more than a decade ago, he chillingly depicted how progressive and fluid our society has become in regards to identity and technology. This is a book for intelligent readers who want to go beyond an epic and dig into the complexities of human nature.
