The story if written differently had potential it was over the top in descriptions and I felt like just page filling I skimmed.
The woman were either portrayed as naive or one dimensional, the ending was unrealistic, it was all just sappy and if it wasn‘t a book club pick I wouldn‘t have finished 🤷🏼‍♀️

Meh. Nothing special... this is about a bigamist and how his actions effect those around him. I wish the author had fleshed out the characters a little more. I feel like the climax of the story happened at the very end (about the 90% mark) and then it all wrapped up too quickly/cleanly. 🤦‍♀️

Pickpick

Enjoyable and perplexing. A little hard to get the perspectives straight when starting the book. Overall I found it a good read.

A woman‘s questioning of her deceased father‘s journal that webs a new friendship of different society types. The writing is very descriptive; however, I felt the timing of hopping from past to present was a bit off–better segues were needed. The book was not gripping and although I did not bond with the characters, I did appreciate the friendship that grew. For my complete review: https://recommended-4.com/reading/where-the-story-starts/
