The Cold Kiss | John Rector
Mehso-so

While the suspense kept the story afloat, the actual substance fell short. Everything happened way too fast, just as things started making sense. The ending was extraordinarily rushed. I don't know if he ran out of steam or patience, but his writing reflects it. I wanted to like this book more. The Grove was much better!

It's unfair how underrated John Rector is. He's part Stephen King, part Cormac McCarthy, and a great deal darker. I'm flying through this one.
