This was not a good book.
The plots are a mess, the main characters are semi-dimensional (the side characters are worse), there are multiple problems with POV.

Waiting to Exhale from a different perspective. 3 women who are very successful (aspiring lawyer, doctor and chemist) end up getting involved with men who are successful in an illegal way (pimp, drug dealer, ex con).
