pickIn this universe, people called Oculi, they have the power to Push and Retract objects in and out of existence. Josie is the main character, the protagonist. She's a geek with a love of comics, movies and all in between. Reid comes into her life and her world is turned upside-down. Between her boyfriend breaking up with her and finding out the existence of an entire culture of super powered people, her life becomes a million times more stressful.
Talleyn.c.Sauve A motif I discovered in the story is the heat, pain and nausea that comes with Pushing something into existence. It symbolizes the pain that comes with this ability. How much it can take out of you and how it could disappear after an amount of time or use. This is one of my favorite books and I highly recommend it for anyone. It has a little big of everything, action, mystery, and romance. 5y
