Ooof... so people are right about this book being an offensive bait and switch that indulges in gross stereotypes... not a great way to kick off YApril...

Words cannot describe how much I despise this book. The short version is do not pitch a book as a lady romance and end it with the character realising she's just actually straight and use multiple bisexual stereotypes.

Bought myself some books after book club last night: Look Both Ways and For Real by Alison Cherry.

I've never read any of her books so I'm really excited to check these out!

I have seen many students that either lack talent or have a heightened, unrealistic sense of their own talent who feel this way.

A perfectly delightful YA about a kid from an uber-theatrical family (think, like, if Patti LuPone was your mom), who has a transformative time in summer stock. Theatre! Bisexuality! Kissing! Shakespearean-Musical mashups! MORE THEATRE! I loved it, and teen me woulda DIED of love. Xoxo! 🎭❤️💛💚💙💜
