The last time we were in NYC, my hubby wanted to proudly show off the library in the neighborhood he grew up in. The Bronx has 1.5 million people and 30% (which is nearly a half a million of the population), live below the poverty line. The Bronx has the kind of poverty in America that most people don't see because we don't go there. I think that this particular library has the ability to change lives. And as a Bronx native, my hubby thinks so too

Posemn Great post! Beautiful library. 8y

Iamlisa22 We just moved my youngest daughter to the Bronx to attend college there. She has many opportunities to help in the community which makes me proud and not gonna lie a little nervous . 8y

[DELETED] 3803335244 I think your so right, libraries do change lives. We lived in a rural area, a book mobile came our way once a week. You could find me there waiting on that day! 8y
