Dogmatix remains my favourite character. Re-reading these and enjoying the verbal jokes. Some of the illustrations are a little problematic but generally they have stood up well. I think they‘d need to be corrected though if a reprint was being done.

My son reading Astérix (Bouclier Arvenne, i.e. tagged) stopped my reading to tell me, insisting, that the saussage guy looks a lot like my sister. And he's not wrong!
