Fiction: Do any of the characters remind you of someone in your life? Who and how?
NonFiction: What connections did you make while reading today? Text-to-Text, Text-to-Self, Text-to-World.
(8A Only)

shamus07 Not really I can't make any connections with the characthers and anyone in real life. they are very unique people.I can make any connections to the real world with this book its a very different setting. 4y
SAVE_US_Y2A Fiction: It may change in the future, but I don't really personally connect with any of the characters. The characters in the story have a pretty different worldview, and overall perspective on things that mainly affect them. There's also a different setting that they reside in, which is a whole lot different from ours, (Rome, if you didn't know). Like I said before, it may change in the future. For now, I just cannot connect with the characters. 4y
Ms. Karpyshyn @shamus07 You need to come up with something!

Sheep@Bunny All of my characters have powers and no one really have powers in this world, but one of the character's attitude (Sirius Black) reminds me of my friend, she was once my best friend but once she saw these cooler kids than me and my other friends, she went with them, she sometimes lies to use that she was just asking something to someone but she never came back, just like Sirius Black, he betrayed Harry Potter's parents to Voldemort. 3y

Fiction: Are there any connections between this book and your own life? How do
these connections help you understand the characters or the conflict?

Non-Fiction: What information surprised you in your reading? How can you use this
information in your life?

Lanisha T Fiction: Yes, one of the characters of the book I am reading (Throne of Glass) reminds me of one of my aunts. The character that reminds me bits and pieces of her is named, Celaena Sardothien. They are both very realistic people with intimidating personalities, but are both hardworking. This helps me want to understand the main character more in depth and get to know her to make connections with my aunt. 4y
julianna.garcia My book is fiction and the character Charlotte reminds me of my older cousins Sam and Alex. Charlotte is like a “parental figure“ to Lucie when they're on their trip to Capri for Lucies friend Isabels wedding. Charlotte keeps an eye on Lucie and making sure she is safe. It helps me understand the characters because I can relate to Lucie when she gets annoyed at Charlotte for being too strict on her. (Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan) 4y

In light of my deleted post. I just hope Swap hosts know that there are certain Littens that sign up for swaps that dont follow thru and have done so many times and I can only hope it doesnt happen to them and that the owner(s) of the violator list share that with swap hosts. This is me letting go of this now. Goodnight. 🌙

Chrissyreadit I think it is known. Sometimes someone slips through by changing their name, unfortunately. 5y
rather_be_reading @Chrissyreadit ive done about 3-4 swaps and i had no idea until today. just sucks. 5y
Crazeedi So sorry to hear this, why would one sign up for a swap and then not do it? Unless some emergency happened, then I think youd tell the host. So very sad that this would happen on here 5y

thegreensofa It happened to me recently. I could never do that to somebody myself I would be eaten up with so much guilt. I prefer to make people happy, it's supposed to be fun! 🎉😍 5y
Trollkonstnaren There are few rotten apples in every basket, but fortunately most people are good and respect each others :) Sorry to hear you met someone rotten. 5y
SamanthaMarie I'm so sorry :( I stress and stress over the swaps (did I buy enough, will they like what I bought?) I can't imagine not following through. Though I was late once 😬 5y
LibrarianRyan @4thhouseontheleft I will five thoughts off post. Feel free to email me MissRyanAF at gmail dot com. I‘ll try to email later if I don‘t hear anything from you. 5y
arubabookwoman That happened to me on my first swap. (Since I didn't see your orig. post, I'm assuming you sent someone a nice swap package and did not receive one back.) Haven't signed up for one since. 5y
rather_be_reading @arubabookwoman sorta. the main thing is ive hosted many swaps and have many people not follow thru. then it came to my attention there are several people who have this in multiple swaps and they are still getting away w it 5y
kaysworld1 @rather_be_reading this has happened to me recently and still nothing it's been over 2 month's, even international post gets to the UK within a month , it is heartbreaking when you have been let down. 5y
