This beautifully illustrated P book is great for incorporating ELs into PR. Since each poem is also offered in Spanish, this gives a chance for EL students who speak Spanish to comprehend the story better, since they can see it in English and Spanish side by side. This aligns with UDL 2.4- promote understanding across languages.

OliviaBuck By providing a book in Spanish as well, it aligns with EL strategy 24- incorporate the culture and the language of second language learners in your curriculum. After students have finished with PR, they can work together to complete a cross word puzzle with the vocabulary from the book https://www.rif.org/literacy-central/material/flutter-and-hum-aleteo-y-zumbido-a.... #ucflae3414sp21 3y
DrSpalding Your images are simple yet very effective. You have selected an excellent resource here with the RIS website. Continue to use this in the future. English learner strategy 24 is excellent! This was one of the books you won in class and I agree that partner reading would be perfect! 3y
