Recurve is the 1st book in Shannon Mayer's Elemental Series, which also starts the timeline reading order for the series and her Rylee Adamson series, the 2 crossing over. Break Water is #2. Both I recommend.

Lark's a perfect underdog to root for as heroine in this series. She doesn't whine (much) & is happy kicking ass to make her point. What she goes through to save her family & do her job is impressive, if a bit over the top. Definitely fun.
