What's It All About? | 
pickLoved listening to Sir Michael Caine (now 90!) share stories about his early career, slew of movies (160!) and 50-year marriage to Shakira. It was love at first sight when he saw her in a 1970s Maxwell House TV commercial! Can you believe Michael “purposely” skipped several chapters on this audio version so the listener would buy the book and get the whole story? 😳 That‘s a first for me! Maybe an 80s marketing gimmick?

TheAromaofBooks Listening to him talk for hours on end would be no hardship! I had no idea he was married for so long - that's quite the feat in film industry. We watch Muppet Christmas Carol every year, and he really makes that movie. 2y

TheAromaofBooks I read an interview once where he said that when he agreed to do the Muppet movie he said the only way to do it was if he took it 100% seriously. His ability to do the straight, serious act whilst surrounded by muppets is what makes the whole movie work, and makes Scrooge's character arc so believable. We watch that one every year! 😁 2y

PurpleyPumpkin Another to add to my tbr!📚👍🏽 Interesting that he skipped some chapters. I‘d love to hear his story told in his voice, so maybe a book/audio read is in order. Having said that, I‘m sure the abridged version was highly entertaining! 2y
