Mehso-so

Bestseller is filled with sarcastic jokes but it's not laugh out loud funny. I found Akshay quite cynical sometimes. He definitely has a way of getting under one's skin. I would've appreciated the book more had the author brought in more Indian themes. The cover design of the book had a very interesting concept which became more clear when I read the book. On the whole it was a good light read.
Rating - 3/5

olivia.ferz Storyline (since the book isn't listed on Litsy's catalogue) : Akshay Mathur, a recently divorced and unemployed man in his mid 30s, moves to India from London in the hopes of beginning anew. Becoming the editor of a crumbling Indian publishing firm, he has to bring out a bestseller in order to ressurrect his dying career which is further complicated by his personal life.

olivia.ferz @sudi I got this from @thebookoholics review program for Indian residents. If you want, you could check their instagram profile. I think they still have the form in their profile bio. You fill your details and then they email you with a request to review a particular book. 5y
