Castle of Days | 
I was truly saddened to learn of the passing of Gene Wolfe. I just read my 14th book by him last month, and every one has been dream-like and strange, pushing the boundaries of meta-narrative frameworks & unreliable narrators, each in their own vastly different ways.
The Book of the New Sun & The Urth of the New Sun are rightly held as masterworks of science fiction/fantasy & are some of the very best books I‘ve ever read.
