In 1921 San Francisco, Sam Spade sets up his detective agency and works for a variety of colorful clients, begins his partnership with Miles Archer, and makes an enemy out of a man when he foils the perfect crime.
This book was so fun to read! I haven't read a hard-boiled detective story in years and this really had all the snappy dialogue and twisting plot points I like about that genre. Makes me want to reread The Maltese Falcon.
