Mail Harry to the Moon
Mail Harry to the Moon | Robie Harris
13 posts | 6 read
Nobody told this older brother that having a new little brother would mean big changes, and he's FED UP! It's time to mail Harry to the moon so life can go back to the way it was before Harry: No more spit-up! No more grabbing! No more wailing in the night! But along the way, baby Harry might just help our hero see that being a big brother means more than just a big nuisance-it means adventure and friendship, too. Known for their keen grasp of the ups and downs of childhood, bestselling author-illustrator team Robie H. Harris and Michael Emberley offer kids and parents a lively look at the lighter side of getting along with the baby in the house.

Little siblings are no fun. Of course you want to send them to the moon. But what happens when they are really gone? This book looks at this question in a fun way all older siblings can relate to and understand.

This is a well illustrated picture book because the children can relate to the story of having a little sibling and the illustrations would more than likely make the children giggle.

This would be helpful for kids who might be angry that there‘s a new baby at home and help them understand their importance

Picture book. A wonderful and relatable story for young children with siblings that incorporates fantasy, imagination and humor to show how the little boy never really wanted to put Harry in the trash, flush him down the toilet, or send him to the moon.

Mail Harry to the Moon! Written by Robie H. Harris and illustrated by Michael Emberley 2008. The illustrations show very clearly the frustration of having a new sibling that many young children face. The expressions are clear and the use of colorful font and lettering show when the emotion is annoyance and when it‘s jealousy and when it‘s concern. The use of watercolor, crayon line, and bright colors helps give the story it‘s lighthearted tone.
