Bestselling author Tiffany Reisz returns with an imaginative tale of lust and magic, and the dangers unleashed when the two are combined On the day of Lias university graduation party, her parentswealthy art collectors with friends in high placesgift her a beautiful wine cup, a rare artifact decorated with roses. Its a stunning gift, and one that August Bowman, a friend of her parents and a guest at Lias party, also has his eye on. The cup, August tells her, is known as the Rose Kylix, and its no ordinary cup. It was used in the temple ceremonies of Eros, Greek god of erotic love, and has the power to bring the most intimate sexual fantasies to life. But Lia is skeptical of Augusts claims of the cups mythology and magicafter all, hes a collector himself, and she suspects he just wants to get his hands on this impressive piece of art. So he dares her to try it for herself, and when Lia drinks from the Rose Kylix she is suddenly immersed in an erotic myth so vivid it seems realas though shes living out the most sensual fantasy with August by her side Realizing the true power of this ancient and dangerous relic, Lia is even more wary of giving it up, though August insists it is only safe with him. Hes willing to pay the full value of the cup, but Lia has another type of trade in mind. One that finds them more tangled up in each otherand in fantasythan either was prepared for.

This is some damn good erotica. There is a lot of sex, but it was done so well. Sometimes erotica can be a little cringey, but this one wasn‘t. Who knew that greek mythology fantasies could be so hot?

I loved that there was also a plot; it wasn‘t just all sex. There was actual substance to it.

I‘m so conflicted about this book. It was ok but to be honest I wasn‘t a huge fan. Which to say not for me but many find this one really good. Sooo come with an open mind is my suggestion.

Sexy and whimsical with a splash of Greek mythology mixed in. It‘s a fun short read. A next generation of the red by Tiffany Reisz. You don‘t have to read the first book to understand the story or characters.

Magnificent. Reisz excels at banter-filled sex scenes that push the story forward while everyone involved has a great time, and she‘s in top form here. If you‘re even a teensy bit mythologically literate, you‘ll quickly guess August‘s deal, but foreknowledge doesn‘t lessen the impact at all—whether we‘re talking about the sex, the emotional progression, or the divine magic. I gulped it all down, eager for Lia to finally accept it.

Happiness is discovering you‘ve still got a 600g bag of molasses kisses in your pantry. I‘m gonna eat four of them while I read more of THE ROSE, which I‘m loving with 120 pages left to go.

I stopped off for a free cappuccino and a bit more of THE ROSE, which I‘m enjoying a lot now I‘ve built up some momentum with it. Lia is an unusual heroine for Reisz, and I‘ve got lots of Thoughts on how art, mythology, and magic blend here and in THE RED.

I recently started some dark SF I‘m pretty sure I‘m gonna love (EVEN THE WINGLESS by M.C.A. Hogarth), but tonight‘s gloomy and a bit cold and I‘m very, very tired because Casey was awful at 2:30 this morning.

Basically, it‘s the perfect time to read Tiffany Reisz, drink green tea, and maybe have a whiskey sour lollipop. Lucky for me, I‘ve got her latest out from the library and the other two things in my pantry.

In all the excitement surrounding the Reverse Readathon, I forgot to show y‘all last week‘s library haul! In honour of the reversal theme, I borrowed four prose works and only one comic.
