I was sceptical about the idea that eating certain foods at certain times would be good or bad for you, but the way it's presented in this book is quite convincing and I am considering putting the it to the test. I did feel that the book was unnecessarily padded out and that the main message could have been condensed down to a shorter book, but I appreciate publishers like a 300 page book so I understand why that was.

jillrhudy Mind. Blown. Major revelation!! They DO try to chop everything down or balloon everything out to 300 pages!!! Just think what we would have missed in classic literature if we‘d always had publishers like this. Woolf, fill this out. Dickens, cut this down. 5y

I'm not huge on diets or fad eating, but I picked this up from the #library randomly & loved it. Co-authored by 2 doctors, the text is incredibly readable and explains food and what happens to it in our bodies in a simple way. I finally understand processes in the body that have always eluded me. The takeaway: it's not just what you eat, it's when. Eat the most as early as possible and try to eat while the sun is up. Eat veg, salmon&nuts NO sugar

Notafraidofwords What time should we eat dinner ? 5y
CaroPi If I eat only when the sun is up I may have issues. I live in Poland. Currently at 16:30 is already night. But book sounds interesting 5y
Chelsea.Poole @Notafraidofwords the authors suggest eating in a short window in the day, within 12 hours, or even shorter if possible. So, if your first meal is at 7am your last meal should be over by 7pm. And the majority of your calories should be consumed as early as possible. Breakfast should be more of what is traditionally considered dinner foods. 5y
Chelsea.Poole @CaroPi I suppose that was just a very general idea to go by, but what they mean is to eat within a 12 hour window in the day. Or even better, a 10 or 8 hour window. So eat breakfast at 7am, have dinner finished by 7pm 5y
