This was a fun one, and it reads more like the super editions at the beginning of the series than a main storyline book. Although at first it was hard to suspend belief, if you take it for the story that it is, it‘s rather fun! I‘ll also be starting the next one immediately, as the cliff hanger is doing it‘s job!

Reading along in my SVH book and I see this character talking about his American friends Zack and Kelly. This SVH book was published in 1994, not long after the original Saved by the Bell class would have ‘graduated‘. Maybe a coincidence, but it sure made me smile!

I remember how much I absolutely loved this SVH werewolf miniseries when I was growing up. The first book in the series holds up fairly well on reread, even though the plot is ridiculous. (Hey, it wouldn‘t be Sweet Valley if we didn‘t have to suspend our disbelief!😆) Liz and Jess get jobs as summer interns at a London newspaper. Yes, this is their 12th summer and they are still 16! Even though Liz has trusty old Todd back home, ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 That doesn‘t stop her from falling for shy poet dude Luke, who also works at the newspaper. He is fascinated with werewolves, and when a string of grisly murders happens, he is quick to blame it on the work of a werewolf. Jessica falls for a wealthy chap named Lord Robert Pembroke Jr. While she, Liz and Luke are at Pembroke Manor for the weekend, the book ends with Liz bursting into Jess‘s room and finding her covered with blood. Oh noes! 5y
JenlovesJT47 What will happen next? Seeing as how there are tons of SVH books left, methinks Jess will be fine. 4⭐️ 5y
