This is a very good collection of 20 Asimov short stories curated by the man himself. The highlight is the title story—Asimov‘s first big break as a science fiction writer. #VintageSF https://everydayshouldbetuesday.wordpress.com/2019/01/10/vintage-science-fiction...

“Sally” is a nice little science fiction story, but the impressive thing is that, writing in 1953, Asimov not only predicts self-driving cars and Uber, but gets the timing pretty much right as well.

The usual knock on Asimov is that he can‘t write good characters or human interaction, but “What If—“ is really an excellent little SF romance. The only straight up romance he wrote in his career, per his intro. #EndOfYearReadingMarathon

Two stories in and I already had to do some amateur book repair. This does not strike me as a book in “good” condition.

Those first two stories—Nightfall and Green Patches—are excellent, by the way.

I am currently reading 10 books. I should work on whittling that down.
