The Meaning of Jesus | N. T. Wright, Marcus J. Borg
2 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
Was Jesus born of a virgin? Did he know he was the Messiah? Was he bodily resurrected from the dead? Did he intentionally die to redeem humankind? Was Jesus God? Two leading Jesus scholars with widely divergent views go right to the heart of these questions and others, presenting the opposing visions of Jesus that shape our faith today.

Pickpick

Having grown up in a conservative theological tradition, it is liberating to see some good old-fashioned sparring between Wright and Borg. Surprisingly, I'm sympathetic to Borg's approach and find it thought provoking, even if I ultimately remain sided with Wright.
