Pickpick

First published in the UK in 1978. Thomas Convenant returns to the Land and finds 40 years have past. He finds the powers of evil, under Lord Foul the Despiser, fully unleashed and he takes the responsibility of finding a way to defeat Lord Foul. The Illearth War is a brilliant follow up to the first book, Lord Foul‘s Bane, in the trilogy, with, in my opinion, one of the great tragic heroes in the genre. Excellent read
