Oriana Fallaci: The Journalist, the Agitator, the Legend | Cristina De Stefano
2 posts | 3 read | 2 to read
Thanks to unprecedented access to personal records, Cristina De Stefano brings back to life a remarkable woman whose groundbreaking work and torrid love affairs will not soon be forgotten, allowing a new generation to discover her story, and witness the passionate, persistent journalism that we need in these times of upheaval and uncertainty. Fallaci is known for her uncompromising vision. Covering the entertainment industry early in her career, she created an original, abrasive interview style, focusing on her subject's emotions, contradictions, and facial expressions more than words.

12-8-22: My 123rd finished book of 2022! As a child she was in the Resistance in Italy with her father fighting against fascism. She became a journalist covering the entertainment world and then when she became bored she started interviewing international political figures. She was also a war correspondent showing up on the front lines. Beyond that she was an Italian woman who fought hard for her position and never backed down.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#️⃣1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣

12-6-22: Starting a new one. I named my oldest daughter Oriana after this fascinating woman. My Mom had wanted to name me Oriana but my Dad prevailed and named me Maria after his Mom. I promised my Mom I would name my daughter Oriana one day. I‘m glad she lived long enough to see it. She had such a special bond with my daughter. 💖
