Inside Coca-Cola
Inside Coca-Cola: A CEO's Life Story of Building the World's Most Popular Brand | Neville Isdell, David Beasley
3 posts
The first book by a Coca-Cola CEO tells the remarkable story of the company's revival Neville Isdell was a key player at Coca-Cola for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009 as CEO after regilding the tarnished brand image of the world's leading soft-drink company. This first book by a Coca-Cola CEO tells an extraordinary personal and professional world-wide story, ranging from Northern Ireland to South Africa to Australia, the Philippines, Russia, Germany, India, South Africa and Turkey. Isdell helped put out huge public relations fires (India and Turkey), opened markets(Russia, Eastern Europe, Philippines and Africa), championed Muhtar Kent, the current Turkish-American CEO, all while living the ideal of corporate responsibility. Isdell's, and Coke's, story is newsy without being gossipy; principled without being preachy. Inside Coca-Cola is filled with stories and lessons appealing to anybody who has ever taken "the pause that refreshes." It's also a readable and important look at how companies can market and govern themselves more-ethically and to great success.

In news of the truly unimportant variety, I tried this. One of my lovely family members asked if this is a mint flavored version 😳. Um, would that work? Well this didn‘t taste like ginger or lime to me. The only thing that was satisfied was my curiosity. 🤷🏻‍♀️

#BBRC Get To Know Each Other
1. Coke
2. Chex
3.Thongs (I like the clap-back sound)
4. Lemonade
5. Ruffles
6. Lucky Charms
7. Tater Tots

* I had to play this one because I have a question: What does “BBRC” stand for? (It‘s probably something obvious so that I can feel like an idiot! 😂)

LibrarianRyan Questions are always welcome. It‘s Birth and Beyond Reading Challenge. It‘s a year long reading challenge that started July 1. The challenge has someone reading various books for all ages. Seen a lot of picture book review lately? This is one of the reasons. 5y
gradcat @LibrarianRyan Oops! Did I play when I wasn‘t supposed to? Sorry! 😬 😂 Oh, and thank you very much for taking the time to explain it to me. ♥️ (edited) 5y
LibrarianRyan @gradcat no no. Play along anytime. 5y

1. The Wizard! First drive-in movie I saw was the Wizard of Oz, and when the movie changed to color I was awestruck
2. Either. Hardcover tends to have larger print, easier on the eyes
3. true crime
4. I graduated from Coca-Cola University (Emory in Atlanta). Unofficially poor school spirit to drink other sodas on campus
5. y‘all are tagged! Tag, you‘re it
