Pride and Prejudice Audio
Pride and Prejudice Audio | Jane Austen
6 posts | 4 read
Timeless Classics--designed for the struggling reader and adapted to retain the integrity of the original classic. These classic audiobooks will grab a student's attention from the first page. Books sold separate. Silly Mrs. Bennet is "husband hunting" for her five daughters. Heaven knows it isn't easy! Darcy would make a great match for Elizabeth- if it weren't for his false pride and her stubborn prejudice. And the other girls aren't cooperating either. Jane is too shy to show affection, and Lydia has run off with an unsuitable army officer! What's a poor mother to do?

I make soup pretty much every Sunday & accompany it with an audiobook & have coined the term #audiosouping & am just nerdy enough to make a avatar with a Litsy sticker & spoon emoji 🤓My favorites for audiosouping are either light comedy/romance or non-fiction. Pictured are some faves, often due to the narration. The P&P audiobook read by Rosamund Pike is a special fave for me & Max🐱...

DebinHawaii ... who will come and lie down if I am listening to it on the couch or bed & 'grumble' if I turn it off. 😻 5y

Rosamund Pike's narration was absolutely lovely.

Gezemice Yes, I listened to it, too. Her voice is just so smooth and lovely. 6y

After reading THUG, I need something to soothe my soul. PnP is my go to happy read. I read this at least twice a year, and I have never done the audio. Excited for this!

I think it only fitting that the first audiobook I download with my free credit for downloading the Audible app is the Rosamund Pike version of Pride and Prejudice! Out of all the versions I have, I have yet to listen to the novel!

JanJan She is such a perfect narrator! 6y
Andrea313 This is what I used my initial free credit on, too. :) She is lovely, I really enjoyed listening to this. 6y
sammisho I haven't listened to this yet either! I am so stingy with my audible credits! 6y
iread2much I liked it, but found her voicing of Mrs. Bennet to be a bit grating 6y
