Five Feet Apart
Five Feet Apart | Rachael Lippincott
Soon to be a major motion picture in March 2019! In this moving story thats perfect for fans of John Greens The Fault in Our Stars, two teens fall in love with just one minor complicationthey cant get within five feet of each other without risking their lives. Can you love someone you can never touch? Stella Grant likes to be in controleven though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions. The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldnt care less about his treatments, or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Soon, hell turn eighteen and then hell be able to unplug all these machines and actually go see the world, not just its hospitals. Wills exactly what Stella needs to stay away from. If he so much as breathes on Stella she could lose her spot on the transplant list. Either one of them could die. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart. But suddenly six feet doesnt feel like safety. It feels like punishment. What if they could steal back just a little bit of the space their broken lungs have stolen from them? Would five feet apart really be so dangerous if it stops their hearts from breaking too?

BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed #FiveFeetApart by @rachaellippincott! Such a heartbreaking fact of what terminal illness can do but at the same time such a sweet love story about giving up someone you love so they can have the best life possible. It truly was a fantastic read. It made me cry and laugh at the same time and when a book can do that to me, I know it‘s golden! .

Both Stella and Will have Cystic Fibrosis. Stella needs to stay six feet away from anything that might infect her. Will has already been infected and abandoned all hope, all he wants to do is get out of hospitals and see the world. Will is the last thing Stella needs right now, either one of them could die if they got too close. But all they want to do is spend time together and suddenly, six feet seems like half the world.

#3 Lola and Will are two characters who are facing a terminal illness called cystic fibrosis. Spending their lives in and out of hospitals, the pair come together through their shared experience with the illness. While Lola‘s on the track of getting better with her new lungs to look forward to, Will‘s almost lost all hope knowing he‘s dealing with an infection limiting hope for his lungs.- (continues in comments)

Charaya.MountainHorse13 -The inseparable two are slowly being pulled away from each other which only makes them become stronger not just with each other but as individuals. If you like teen fiction that includes a sad/heartfelt storyline this one you‘d enjoy. The author keeps readers up to speed and it‘s hard to lose interest. 2w
MissYaremcio Well done Charaya! The additional aspect was the genre (not pacing)! Love that photo! 2w

#3 Stella Grant is a 17 year old girl that lives with a sickness called cystic fibrosis, it‘s a lung disease and it makes her life not so exciting, Stella has always been smart about her CF and takes really good care of herself until she meets a guy Named Will Newman and he also sufferers from CF. They fall in love but there‘s one catch, they must stay five feet apart The genre is fiction and if you like sad love Story‘s you will enjoy this book

MissYaremcio Great review Emma! Remember that though this is a fictional story, the genre is realistic fiction and not just fiction! 2w

4.5 stars. This is a very moving story that I found out later was loosely based on a real couple. The writing is sweet & well formulated and the narrative moves smoothly. I don't very often tear up at books, but this one got me right in the feels. It's not overly dramatic or morbid, but paints a realistic, non-cutesy picture. Five Feet Apart tackles the topic of terminal illness with tact and with emotion in a very balanced way. A VERY good read!

Stella will soon get new lungs if she can keep them clear from infection. Will already has an infection and has lost hope. They are being forced apart but their connection grows and they just want to be together. Sobbing! I watched this movie on a plane a couple months ago and decided I had to read it. It's pretty much identical to the movie, dialogue and all, but it's such a sweet and heartbreaking romance. You want nothing more than their happiness, but it outlines the sad truth of living with a disease like cystic fibrosis.

KarenUK My husband has CF, and although I don‘t usually go for much YA, I have this on my TBR.... just not sure if it will be too upsetting for me.... 2mo
Kaylamburson I completely understand that. It's always hard to know what will be triggering to someone else, and there are lots of sad and difficult moments. But without giving too much away, there's also hope and characters coming to terms with their situations and figuring out the best way to move forward. @KarenUK 2mo

Post catchup #2
Good but I liked Zac & Mia by A.J. Betts more. Compairing the two stories, this one just felt surface-y, lacking character development apart from the illness.

I‘ve read a lot of books. I‘ve cried to a lot of books too, but not as much as this book. Five Feet Apart is beautiful. It has that first love story that I always crave and this author found a new way to rip that out of my reach. Yes, there is loss, but there‘s also beauty.

This book was SUPER good! It is a sad/happy kind of book about 2 people who have lung problems, and they are in love with each other. But, they have to be 6 feet apart at all times, otherwise they could die. Read this book to find out if they get together or not!!! Totally recomend it!!!

I liked this book more than I thought I would. I didn‘t know much about cystic fibrosis and this book was extremely informative and very interesting. I have learned from reading this how immensely horrible this disease is and how heartbreaking it can be. I found this book to be sad, but inspirational and full of wisdom. #booked2019 #booktomovie

This is a sweet book. I saw the movie first and it is absolutely faithful to the book. It‘s an easy read with likable characters. It helps raise awareness about cystic fibrosis in a way that doesn‘t feel like an educational novel, but a heartfelt story about two kids in love. #fivefeetapart
