I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

Looked like a fun chicklit book about a girl starting out in the Big Six publishing scene, sort of like The Devil Wears Prada except for books. Turns out, it's Christian lit.

esurient The writing wasn't bad, but the climax was super-heavy morality that ramped up from nowhere. Google now tells me the book is a modern retelling of the story of Esther. I'm irked the back cover hadn't disclosed that. 7y

Spotted this in the charity shop the other day: has anyone read it?

Andrea313 Yes, I have! A little preachy near the end for my taste, iirc, but still very sweet. 7y
Verity @Andrea313 the risk of preachy was my main concern about it... 7y
Andrea313 @Verity It's been a number of years since I've read this one, so if you go for it, I'd love your review! 7y
Verity @Andrea313 if I go back for it, I‘ll let you know! 7y
