What an astounding short novel. Ben lives next to a trash dump that his family blames for his sister‘s health problems. In his youth, he vows to destroy trash mountain. Over time, his plans grow more complex as his motivation to actually take action diminishes. A quick read with lots to say about youth and adulthood, poverty and depressed areas. Looking forward to seeing the author at this year‘s Decatur Book Festival #DBF2018

Ben lives in a small town dominated and damaged by a garbage dump and decides to blow it up, and gets wrapped up in the underworld of scavengers and politicians. 3.5 stars for this debut novel. eARC from publisher, it came out May 1.
