The Tall man takes daughters but he needs help.
This was quite the gripping thriller. I don't think it was as creepy as suggested but then I'm a huge Stephen King fan and he's very good at creepy. That being said the story was so good and I couldn't be sure of anything until the end. It jumps time frames and POV quite a bit but I soon picked up the rhythm. The end was so clever I loved it.

Really good page turning thriller, quite eerie in places. The centres around a mother and daughter, the mother is haunted by her experiences of becoming involved with a kind of cult obsessed with the tall man and the daughter has recently been acquitted of murdering somone (this is the kind of book that keeps you guessing and we don't know who until the end). Great twists.

A sinisterly compelling psychological thriller. It‘s quite eerie and dark. The tension builds up gradually, very much a slow burner. I really enjoyed how the story was told with the main multiple timeline narratives being interspersed with sections about a TV documentary. It‘s all very ambiguous but it certainly drew me in and had me eager to read on. There are some great twists and turns. A gripping, unnerving and absorbing read. I loved it.

The book narrative moves between 3 different times: 1990, 2000, & 2018 with the common thread of Tall Man, who preys on young girls.

It worked well as crime fiction, but personally I didn‘t think it was creepy enough. It had the potential to be much more shocking. Rating: 3 ⭐️

Today's new #Pigeonhole book, a spooky psychological thriller. Sounds like it's partly based on the Slenderman case. I have to say Pigeonhole are surpassing themselves lately, some really great books that I am enjoying for free, such a mixture of genres and of writers that I might not have come across or tried books by.
