Rusty The Squeaky Robot
Rusty The Squeaky Robot | Neil Clark
3 posts | 4 read | 5 to read
Rusty is a friendly robot, but not a very happy one; hes feeling down about the way that he sounds. The other robots on Planet Robotone Belle, Twango, Hoot and Boom-Bot show Rusty that being a little bit different is the best way to be, and together make a raucous song and dance that celebrates their differences. This charming story about friendship, self-discovery and the strength of pooling everyone's talents together has a strong, empowering message of acceptance and embracing individuality. With wonderful, contemporary illustrations that will appeal to young children and parents alike, the story will provoke thought and conversation about being different, and how we should all embrace our characteristics and be comfortable and confident in ourselves.

Rusty must learn to live with what makes him different from all the other robots. as a teacher, I must add that this is the perfect book for teaching onomatopoeia. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4.5⭐️ This book is sooooo close to a 5 star book. It gets a mark down to a 4.5 star because there are pages where the rhyme loses it cadence and causes the reader to stumble. Besides that, I LOVE this story. A robot hates his squeaks until he meets other robots and leans that everyone has something unique that should be celebrated. The illustrations are fun and colorful, the story devine, and overall just a happy read.

My son and I loves this book. We love books that rhyme. We love how it was written and the rhythm of it. We also love the illustrations. We love the colors and how they pop out of the book. Also, as a speech pathologist I will surely use this book with my children not just because it is visually stimulating but also because of the auditory stimulation it gives. Thanks Net Galley
