Really engaging stories about our Revolutionary War. Most of the artwork captures the emotional toll that war inflicts on people and how hard it was to fight. They had low rations, marched in snow, and had to move heavy equipment using oxen. Makes me thankful that those men and women kept fighting for what they believed in.

Oddly enough, I ended up enjoying the offshoot stories in the last 3-4 editions more than the original story. Like I said in my previous post, I am still new to comics and graphic novels so if you have any suggestions feel free to leave them below.

I‘m still new to comic books and tend to blaze through them without giving the art its rightful attention. The Revolutionary War is one of my favorite parts of American history so I‘ve been trying to pay more attention in this volume. The art is gritty like the times but the storytelling is careful.

Wow! A fantastic, unflinching look at the American Revolution from the view point of the average every day soldiers that fought in it. Love the fact that it addressed the hypocrisy of slaves in a "free" nation and the plight of women in a war fought for the freedom of land owning, white men.

A historical fiction series that follows the lives of people during the Revolutionary War. From a woodman joining the continental army to a print shop owner to a private in the British army, the series shows that it isnt just the founding fathers that have a story to tell.

Dogearedcopy Argh! I was at More Fun comic book store today (#fcbd) and wish I had looked for these! 8y
