Four previously published novellasavailable now at one low price. The Governess Affair Three months ago, governess Serena Barton was sacked. Now she's demanding compensation from the man responsible: a petty, selfish duke. But it's not the duke she fears. Hugo Marshall handles all the duke's dirty business, and he's been ordered to get rid of her by fair means or foul. If only he didn't find her so compelling... A Kiss for Midwinter Miss Lydia Charingford is always cheerful, and never more so than at Christmas time. Still, no matter how hard she smiles, she can't forget the dark secret that nearly ruined her life. But someone else knows the truth of those dark days: the sarcastic Doctor Jonas Grantham. She wants nothing to do with him...or the butterflies that take flight in her stomach every time he looks her way... What Happened at Midnight Fleeing the consequences of her father's embezzlement, Mary Chartley takes a position as a lady's companion, only to find herself a virtual prisoner at Doyle's Grange, her employer's house. And then the nightmare truly begins: the man she loves, who also happens to be the man from whom her father stole, shows up at her door seeking recompense. And she has no way to pay him... The Lady Always Wins Railway financier Simon Davenant has waited seven years for a second chance with Virginia Croswell, his childhood sweetheart and best friend. He's not about to let his impending financial ruin destroy the opportunity. This time, he'll do anything he can to secure her hand in marriage--even if it means losing her heart for good. These novellas were previously published as standalone titles. Together, they are 124,000 words longabout 33% more than a full-length novel.

Book Depository parcel arrived. Thank you so much, Paula, these look great😘😘😘

I'm following your example. Look out for a parcel from Booktopia.🎄🎄🎄

CarolynM @Centique looks like it might be 2 parcels🙂 4y
Centique @CarolynM yay I‘m glad it got there safely! You didn‘t have to do the same for me, you‘ve already been super generous to me and I haven‘t caught up! 💕 I think you‘ll like both of these. I wanted to get you The Brothers Sinister Collection from Courtney Milan but it wasn‘t available right now. However the first part of that series is in this novella collection and it‘s my fave 4y

Pickpick

I just spent the last few days immersed in these four historical #romantsy novellas. My favourites were the first two The Governess Affair and A Kiss at Midwinter- the male leads were so kind and careful of their partner‘s fear. The last two , What Happened at Midnight and The Lady Always Wins were enjoyable.

I think this one works for two March Photo prompts @maich #marchinbooks #currentlyreading. I am throughly enjoying these novellas. Three down one to go. Because they are historical romances I‘m also thinking #historyneverrepeats prompt for @Cinfhen and @Lizpixie #marchintooz.

Centique I just discovered Courtney Milan last year and she is SO GOOD! Have to stack this 😍 6y
