Wild Designs (Us) | Katie Fforde
1 post | 7 read | 3 to read
Althea (yes, she has always found the name a bit of a burden) is thirty-eight. She has three children who tell her what to do, a bossy dog, and an even more strong-minded younger sister. No husband, but (remembering the fraught years when he was around) she has always found that a positive advantage. In fact, apart from inevitable money woes, she is content. Until she loses her job, and money becomes even more of a problem than usual. Undaunted (well, to be honest, slightly daunted) she decides to take redundancy as an opportunity to turn her passion for gardening into a business of her own. So she unearths not only the roots of a new career but the distinct possibility of a new man: architect Patrick Donahugh. Until she met Patrick she had not wanted another man, or nor until the children had left home anyway. So perhaps it is fortunate that he is attached already, and therefore off limits. At least for now....
