pickGreat overview of how therapy dogs can help struggling readers. Even though this book is specific to the R.E.A.D program that began in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1999, anyone interested in participating in a read-to-a-dog literacy program would enjoy this book.
Many sweet pictures of dogs resting their heads on children as the students read. Gives some good handler tips too for creating an atmosphere where both child & dog learn together.
