In a world where the seeds of plants are imbued with various powers both great and small, young Luca makes ends meet by illegally cultivating and selling rare specimens. But anyone caught engaging in this activity without the qualifications of a government-sanctioned Grainelier does so at the price of their freedom. So when the security forces come calling, Luca assumes they're onto him...but it's actually his shut-in father, Christophe, they're after! Sent running to safety by Christophe, Luca escapes with a few rare and powerful seeds pressed into his hand...but will they do anything but make Luca's path a thorny one? p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial}

Pickpick

So I've read 3 volumes of Ten Count by the same creator. Loved volume 1, wasn't sure about 2, and then massively disliked 3 so didn't continue. But I wanted to give this series a try and I really liked it but I'll still read the next two volumes with caution. #readathon 😊

Glad to be ringing in the new year with this manga series about a world where growing rare seeds is illegal, and where a human ingesting magical seeds to gain some of the plant's powers is penalty of death!!

Naturally, the main character eats some unknown magical seeds within the first 20 pages. 🌱

Happy 20biteen, littens!!!!!!

Graineliers volume 1

Plants seeds, in general, are treated as gems. And rare types of seeds can bestow powers (characteristics of that particular plant) upon ingestion. So, does this mean that you are what you eat? 😆 Overall, pretty interesting start to a new series. Like plants? Botany? Super powers? Try this.

InLibrisVeritas Sounds pretty unique as far as plot ideas go. 6y
