Great book!! Better to read the book instead of the audio for this one I think.

I started this one out in audio - which was just okay - so I switched to finishing it with the hardcopy. I'm finding I'm enjoying much more in hardcopy format.

This book made me feel like I was driving through the desert on a well maintained road on a nice warm day. It was easy and beautiful in a sparse way, an interesting view that also kinda blurred into nothing at times. Lots of historical information and family drama, but smoothly done. Recommended if you need a break from hard and epic reads, a nice palette cleanser. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼1/2

Added to the rotation, it‘s quickly drawing me in.

I love the interweaving of two different timelines. Morris put in a lot of research and it shows. Thanks to #netgalley, and double day books for the chance to read this one.

A bath and a book.

So far this ARC is excellent. I find myself gravitating towards it everytime I have a free moment.

There are some wonderful moments in this novel that follows a family in two timelines: 1492 and 1992. The backstory of Jews in Spain and how they came to the new world was 👍🏼The story telling, however, was disjointed. The modern story was detailed and slow. But the historical storyline sped through many generations quickly and with only a barebones telling, leaving the story more like an outline than a fully realized narrative. #netgalley
