I‘m putting all my notes in a binder to save because they are this cute. Also a reminder. This monolingual student receiving a pencil - A PENCIL- of her own.. meant the world to her and alll this effort to write to me in my language at 6 years old was to show her gratitude.

@dabbe I said to Mr Book Hippie send me a pic of me so I can show the front of my hair with a scarf … 😅😵‍💫🤣😝🤦🏻‍♀️👀 his idea of my beauty is well… love goggles apparently.. and um this is a barrette 🤣🤣🤣 also no clue why I look like I‘m zoned out… just look at the hair. Also this is why we must have pictures of ourselves 🤦🏻‍♀️and for decades he has taken pics of me on escalators 🤷🏻‍♀️I love him.

I have 2 children that were born earth-side almost 18 years apart, grandson who is almost NINE, a DIVA elderly English bulldog name Winifred aka Winnie and a Mr Book Hippie who I finally married several decades ago even though I don‘t actually believe in marriage♥️

I have countless children who call me MA, friends who are family, and we have all created our own tiny circle of connection.

I read this quote & then received an absolutely lovely note/gifts from one of my cheerleaders.
I have just now started to relax a little although still aware of my every move and surroundings. Being a known activist has its price. I‘ve found out what four years of immense fear has done to my body and soul-not good things, so getting to rest just a little and receive such support is a gift I cannot repay. How wonderful for bibliophile friends.

She then gave me a weed she picked and told me to pretend it was a flower...name stuck I'm usually "that liberal hippie or that feminist hippie" people are fun ????????‍♀️✌?my name comes from ....

I received the name ‘The Book Hippie‘ from a little girl who gave me a few weeds as a present when she “caught” me filling a Little Free Library one day. “You‘re the Book Hippie that fills the library, and I caught you!!! ” “Here‘s some flowers, they‘re really weeds, but you can pretend they are flowers.”
The name stuck. Several other people started using it. I am constantly tutoring reading, rescuing and donating books. #litsyhandle @Chelleo

Some days one wins over the other today is a definite Hood day. What a week! This time of year is tough for a lot of my "kids" violence also spikes in the holiday season, if you're spirit filled and willing send some good vibes out that we all pull through the season . Peace.
